I BELIEVE

This writing is by one of mah nicest friend KRISHNA PATEL who wishes to share something very thoughtful on what she believes which everyone might be believing (hope so). Here it goes

I BELIEVE...

that there are many different roads to success, but true success is knowing to be kind to everyone you meet along the way.

that money is a lousy way of keeping score.

that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel

that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

that we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.

that you can keep going long after you think you can't.

that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't stop for your grief.

that two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.

that true friendship and true love continue to grow, even over the longest distance.

that you should always leave loved ones with loving words, it may be the last time you see/talk to them.

that either you control your attitude or it controls you.

that you must learn to love yourself before you can learn to love another.

that success is having what you want, but happiness is wanting what you have.

that it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.

that we are responsible for what we do, not matter how we feel

that the people you care most about in life are taken from you too soon.

that my best friend and I can do anything, or nothing, and have the best time.

that life is what we make it, so we better make it count.

2 STATES- Quick View

Some say life becomes JOLLY and CHEERFUL when you love someone, but no one has ever told what after love??? That’s because they don’t want to panic you.

Most love stories have this sort of pattern:

BOY LOVES GIRL. GIRL LOVES BOY. THEY GET MARRIED.

But if you are in India, its not as simple. Here I present the quick preview on Chetan Bhagat’s fourth novel 2 STATES which will give a full view of life after love stories are to be turned into marriage in INDIA  and especially when the love is from two different states. Yes, in India you certainly have to follow some easy looking steps as described by Chetan Bhagat which aren’t that easy.

STEP1: Boy loves girl. Girl loves boy.

STEP2: Girl’s family has to love boy. Boy’s family has to love girl.

STEP3: Girl’s family has to love boy’s family. Boy’s family has to love girl’s family.

STEP4: Girl and boy still love each other. They get married finally!!

This is the flow in which the story flows. I will give a quick view on each step presented in the novel. So lets start with first step.

STEP1: Boy loves girl. Girl loves boy.

One of the most difficult part seen by one who loves someone here is not that difficult. Boy(KRISH) meets girl(ANANYA) in the cafetarea of IIMA, have friendship and then they fall in love. They have all fun in the two years. But they have fallen so deeply in love. Now they need to marry. The problem starts here, as they need to convince their parents. Actually the parents wouldn’t have mind if both of them might be of same cast, but the problem is 2 different STATES(Krish from PUNJAB and Ananya from TAMILNADU), 2 different  PEOPLE, 2 different CULTURE. Its not easy to mix both. Our couple thinks its easy so they call their parents on convocation day so that they cant talk about their relationship. But its all get messed up and doesn’t work at all. So they have to follow step 2.

STEP2: Girl’s family has to love boy. Boy’s family has to love girl.

Here you will see two different cultures being represented so well by Chetan Bhagat. First our boy tries to convince girl’s family. But it takes him 6 months to do so. First he impresses his brother-in-law, then father-in-law and finally mother-in-law. The most impressive part is that he proposes the whole family to marry him, after all that’s what we call marriage in INDIA. We don’t only marry a girl but also her family. In these six months our boy has to face a lot of trouble due to his new job, new location, new food and new relation (with girl’s family). But all ends well with boy succeeding in convincing girl’s parents.

Now it was time for our girl to impress the boy’s parents. But she has only one week to do so. Here comes the entry of typical punjabi maa. Our has to face more than what our hero faced. It was not easy to convince maa. But she not only has to convince her, there are lot more relatives related. Well the chance arrives at a marriage ceremony where she sorts out some problems between the two parties. From that day everybody liked Ananya. So finally there was YES from our punjabi maa.

Well you might be thinking, that yes all is done. Now they can marry. But now comes the most difficult part.

STEP3: Girl’s family has to love boy’s family. Boy’s family has to love girl’s family.

Our couple thinks a lot on this and then decides to go on a GOA trip where both the families can meet and have time to know each other. The plan is executed.
Both families meet happily, have lunches and dinners. But it doesn’t gets work out. There were differences which comes out one day. And due to this, our couple also get breaks up. The girl is very much upset by the behavior of the boy’s mom towards her family. She gets frustrated finally and breaks up the relationship. Our boy tries to call her, even flies to her office. (Boy works in Delhi and Girl in Chennai). But she is all depressed and doesn’t want to talk to him. The boy is already  depressed. He is not at all feeling well. He hasn’t eaten properly from the day of breakup. He goes weak. He hasn’t shaved also. He becomes a DEVDAS. All this is being watched by our boy’s father.(was in picture though not played a role yet). And there comes the turning point. The boy’s father goes to Chennai without informing anyone and settles all the matter. He also gets fixed the marriage.  The girl calls up boy and gets super excited about marriage. She talks to him about his father coming to her home. The boy is all shocked. He thanks his father for all that he has done and forgives him for all the sins he has done. The differences between father-son gets resolved. Now there is a complete family. The marriage dates are fixed and then comes the final day. The father decides not to go to marriage as he has differences with his mother’s relatives. Now comes the final step. MARRIAGE.

STEP4: Girl and boy still love each other. They get married finally!!

As it is said every love story has happy endings. So that’s all is given in this section. The marriage is done in South Indian style. All the procedures of marriage are written in detail which i felt very bored to read, but as it was the final section, i need to complete it. Wait, there is one surprise remaining for you. Someone that was not expected arrives and gives a lot of happiness to our boy. Well i think you may have guessed it out correct!

So that’s all about Chetan Bhagat’s 2 STATES, a love story with INDIAN arranged marriage tadka. I know it will not leave an impression to many of mah friends, but the way he has represented the story is spectacular. Well, those friends searching some masala like in his previous three novels, i am sorry to say, will not find much. The story is sort of a daily soap + Bollywood love stories + little Kollywood tadka. Yes there are lot many scenes of entertainment of course. You will see as you read.

MY HECKY - WHECKY EXPERIENCE WITH INDIAN RAILWAYS

train1

As everybody is aware about the Indian Railways, it is the world’s longest rail network. Being Indian i feel proud for it, but after today’s experience, i am confused “????”

I usually travel in the express/superfast trains, as my dad’s working in railway, so he gets a free pass. But today was not my day, i can say. All the family members have to attend a function at Baroda. They left in the early morning in the express train, but told me to come late, as it was of no use of me reaching early. So they told me to travel by passenger train (MEMU). I was happy as i had no restrictions, and can travel freely. Train was at 10am, so thought that reaching at 9:40am and taking the ticket would be better. I worked according to my plan. But what am i seeing reaching there, a long long long line for ticket as it was a festive season (The next day was RAKSHABANDHAN). My eyes were widened, as i have never seen such a rush ever in my life. I thought that if i stand here and wait for my turn, i would miss my train. Thoughts came to travel without ticket, but how can a boy of a railway personnel break the rule. Suddenly my eyes went to a shop opposite to railway station, which was selling tickets but with 1Re commission. There too was rush but not that much, so i decided to get my tickets from there.

All was set. Ticket was taken. Now comes the most boring period. Waiting for the train. I hate that. Even it was announced that train is going to reach in few minutes, it wasn’t coming. Slowly slowly the platform was getting filled with more and more people. I thought from inside that today was going to be a very memorable experience. After 15 minutes of wait, the train arrived. As the coaches passed, my heartbeat increased, as there was hardly a inch for standing. I decided not to hurry and will enter at last. But I was not knowing that there were many people who were thinking the same. So as soon as the signal was given me along with some people entered the coach. Well i managed somehow to get in to. Others were partly hanging outside. Now i was standing on my one leg. It seemed that someone has given me a punishment and i have to bear it. Train started and i could not move an inch. All was packed. (At that time i thought of the Mumbaikars who are facing such situations daily in subarbans.) My travel was hardly 40 kms. But as it was a passenger train, it was taking halt at every stop. On the first two stops (VADOD and ADAS), i hardly seen anyone leaving or entering the coach. So hoping that you will get a place to at least free yourself for sometime was in vain. On the third stop (VASAD), one or two people moved out of the coaches, but nine to ten more people took the courage to enter the hecky coach. (BRAVE INDIANS!!). Then i heard of some noise of dalwala. He was shouting “KHATI MEETHI DAL LE LO”. I was thinking that here we are hardly moving an inch, how has he travelled from the coaches behind and reached here, really brave!!! He was making a good business here, as almost 20-25 people bought his dal. And still he was expecting more, so he asked whether anyone has left. Well that made some atmosphere of humour, nice guy.

Then comes the most exciting part of my journey, the Bridge across the Mahi river. I always like to watch river from the train. This Bridge was built during the British rule and it is said that it is one of the strongest bridge which will sustain for at least 100 years!!!(Live long Engineers) The river water was stagnant, and was polluted by some residents living around. Some religious people bowed towards the river and some also dropped the coins in it. Suddenly there was a noise of a woman singing some gujarati song. I could hardly understood it. I thought that these people are really better singer than those in the reality shows. She was also making her way through the crowd. Some felt pity on her and gave her some rupees.

I was enjoying every moment, but as it is said God has written something else for you. Suddenly i started feeling like nausea. Everything around me was roaming round and round. My head started bursting like anything. I felt that soon i am going to be unconscious. I tried to control myself, I kept my eyes closed and was praying GOD to please release this tension for now. Well, GOD did listen and soon my body was in my control, but he gave me good headache, which was again unbearable but it was better than feeling unconscious. Soon i reached my destination. It was feeling quite good when i landed on platform. Half of the people exited from the train, but more of then entered.

That’s all, this is the experience of my life which i will never forget. My head is still paining, but i have taken medicine. Please comment here and share your experience if u have ever been in such a situation.

GOOGLE V/S BING

Recently, Microsoft launched its new search engine BING similar to Google. So lets see how is it cooler than our older search engine.
1. MAIN SCREEN

google_main

As shown above there is Google main screen, it has simple white background. It has more advanced features for search and search is available in different languages also. On the top there is facility to connect directly to orkut-one of the largest used social networking site.

bing_main
This is new kool BING main screen. It looks attractive due to wallpaper at its background which keeps on changing daily. Though it has no more options for the search, it has special section for video search.

2. SEARCH RESULTS

google_serach bing_search
As it is said "OLD IS GOLD", here it is true for Google, if you need more search results u can get in Google, but bing isn't that much back, it has just came so you have to wait a little, it will soon compete with GOOGLE, after all "NEW IS KOOL".

3. IMAGE RESULTS

google_image bing_images

If Google can give you more search results Bing can offer you with more options. As seen above in the left pane, you can select your preferences and get the desired result, while Google too has such options but, they are less compared to this, so that makes BING more kool.

4. ADDITIONAL FEATURES

igoogle

Google is having many extra features, but here i will talk about just one i.e iGoogle. As you can see in the above screen, iGoogle is the part of google offered to those who posses google accounts, you can manage that whole screen and get lots of stuffs opened like, match scores, your mails, news, quotes, etc…. Moreover, it has artistic background, which can be changed.

bing_videos

Talking about Bing, it has come up with a kool feature of video search. And moreover, you can play the video itself as it is seen i.e. Just move your arrow to the video you would like to watch, and it starts playing(..kool na)

5. ADULT SEARCH

google_porn bing_porn

Well, if you are a XXX lover, dont ever try to search on Bing, yes you won’t get easy results, which Google allows you with lots of results. Consider it as a drawback or advantage, its up to you. “Adult”, “porn”, “sex”, etc… these words in Bing will get you only one result “CHANGE YOUR SEARCH TERMS”(????).

CONCLUSION:

If you are Google user, try Bing at least once, and tell me which one is more Kool, i bet you will surely say Bing. But Google is also not bad, after all it is ruling the search world. I hope Microsoft will have to make some more changes to overtake Google.

So dear, if this post proved useful to u, do tell to others otherwise tell to me. Ideas and suggestions are welcomed. Comment it, tell me your views on which would you prefer. I am waiting for your valuable comments.

Decimals Equivalents of Fractions

With a little practice, it's not hard to recall the decimal equivalents of fractions up to
10/11!

First, there are 3 you should know already:
1/2 = .5
1/3 = .333...
1/4 = .25

Starting with the thirds, of which you already know one:
1/3 = .333...
2/3 = .666...

You also know 2 of the 4ths, as well, so there's only one new one to learn:
1/4 = .25
2/4 = 1/2 = .5
3/4 = .75

Fifths are very easy. Take the numerator (the number on top), double it, and stick a
decimal in front of it.
1/5 = .2
2/5 = .4
3/5 = .6
4/5 = .8

There are only two new decimal equivalents to learn with the 6ths:
1/6 = .1666...
2/6 = 1/3 = .333...
3/6 = 1/2 = .5
4/6 = 2/3 = .666...
5/6 = .8333...

What about 7ths? We'll come back to them at the end. They're very unique.
8ths aren't that hard to learn, as they're just smaller steps than 4ths. If you have trouble
with any of the 8ths, find the nearest 4th, and add .125 if needed:
1/8 = .125
2/8 = 1/4 = .25
3/8 = .375
4/8 = 1/2 = .5
5/8 = .625
6/8 = 3/4 = .75
7/8 = .875

9ths are almost too easy:
1/9 = .111...
2/9 = .222...
3/9 = .333...
4/9 = .444...
5/9 = .555...
6/9 = .666...
7/9 = .777...
8/9 = .888...

10ths are very easy, as well. Just put a decimal in front of the numerator:
1/10 = .1
2/10 = .2
3/10 = .3
4/10 = .4
5/10 = .5
6/10 = .6
7/10 = .7
8/10 = .8
9/10 = .9

Remember how easy 9ths were? 11th are easy in a similar way, assuming you know your
multiples of 9:
1/11 = .090909...
2/11 = .181818...
3/11 = .272727...
4/11 = .363636...
5/11 = .454545...
6/11 = .545454...
7/11 = .636363...
8/11 = .727272...
9/11 = .818181...
10/11 = .909090...

As long as you can remember the pattern for each fraction, it is quite simple to work out the decimal place as far as you want or need to go!
Oh, I almost forgot! We haven't done 7ths yet, have we?
One-seventh is an interesting number:
1/7 = .142857142857142857...
For now, just think of one-seventh as: .142857
See if you notice any pattern in the 7ths:
1/7 = .142857...
2/7 = .285714...
3/7 = .428571...
4/7 = .571428...
5/7 = .714285...
6/7 = .857142...
Notice that the 6 digits in the 7ths ALWAYS stay in the same order and the starting digit
is the only thing that changes!

If you know your multiples of 14 up to 6, it isn't difficult to work out where to begin the
decimal number. Look at this:

For 1/7, think "1 * 14", giving us .14 as the starting point.
For 2/7, think "2 * 14", giving us .28 as the starting point.
For 3/7, think "3 * 14", giving us .42 as the starting point.
For 4/14, 5/14 and 6/14, you'll have to adjust upward by 1:
For 4/7, think "(4 * 14) + 1", giving us .57 as the starting point.
For 5/7, think "(5 * 14) + 1", giving us .71 as the starting point.
For 6/7, think "(6 * 14) + 1", giving us .85 as the starting point.

Practice these, and you'll have the decimal equivalents of everything from 1/2 to 10/11 at
your finger tips!

If you want to demonstrate this skill to other people, and you know your multiplication
tables up to the hundreds for each number 1-9, then give them a calculator and ask for a
2-digit number (3-digit number, if you're up to it!) to be divided by a 1-digit number.

If they give you 96 divided by 7, for example, you can think, "Hmm... the closest
multiple of 7 is 91, which is 13 * 7, with 5 left over. So the answer is 13 and 5/7, or:
13.7142857!"

Converting Kilometres to Miles
This is a useful method for when travelling between imperial and metric countries and
need to know what kilometres to miles are.
The formula to convert kilometres to miles is number of (kilometres / 8 ) X 5
So lets try 80 kilometres into miles
80/8 = 10
multiplied by 5 is 50 miles!
Another example
40 kilometres
40 / 8 = 5
5 X 5= 25 miles

Multiplying by 12 shortcut
So how does the 12's shortcut work?
Let's take a look.

12 X 7
the first thing is to always multiply the 1 of the twelve by the number we are multiplying
by, in this case 7. So 1 X 7 = 7.

Multiply this 7 by 10 giving 70.

Now multiply the 7 by the 2 of twelve giving 14. Add this to 70 giving 84.
Therefore 7 X 12 = 84

Let's try another:

17 X 12
Remember, multiply the 17 by the 1 in 12 and multiply by 10
(Just add a zero to the end):

1 X 17 = 17, multiplied by 10 giving 170.

Multiply 17 by 2 giving 34.

Add 34 to 170 giving 204.

So 17 X 12 = 204

lets go one more

24 X 12

Multiply 24 X 1 = 24. Multiply by 10 giving 240.

Multiply 24 by 2 = 48. Add to 240 giving us 288

24 X 12 = 288 (these are Seriously Simple Sums to do aren’t they?!)

Converting Kilos to pounds
In this section you will learn how to convert Kilos to Pounds, and Vice Versa.

Let’s start off with looking at converting Kilos to pounds. 86 kilos into pounds:

Step one, multiply the kilos by TWO.

To do this, just double the kilos.
86 x 2 = 172

Step two, divide the answer by ten.

To do this, just put a decimal point one place in from the right.
172 / 10 = 17.2

Step three, add step two’s answer to step one’s answer.

172 + 17.2 = 189.2
86 Kilos = 189.2 pounds

Let’s try:
50 Kilos to pounds:

Step one, multiply the kilos by TWO.

To do this, just double the kilos.
50 x 2 = 100

Step two, divide the answer by ten.

To do this, just put a decimal point one place in from the right.
100 / 10 = 10

Step three, add step two’s answer to step one’s answer.
100 + 10 = 110
50 Kilos = 110 pounds

Adding Time
Here is a nice simple way to add hours and minutes together:

Let's add 1 hr and 35 mins and 3 hr 55 mins together.

What you do is this:
make the 1 hr 35 mins into one number, which will give us 135 and do the same for the other number giving us 355

Now you want to add these two numbers together:

135
355
____
490

So we now have a sub total of 490. What you need to do to this and all sub totals is add the time constant of 40.

No matter what the hours and mins are, just add the 40 time constant to the sub total.

490 + 40 = 530

So we can now see our answer is 5 hrs and 30 mins!

Divisible by four

This little math trick will show you whether a number is divisible by four or not
So, this is how it works.

Let's look at 1234
Does 4 divide evenly into 1234?

Well for 4 to divide into any number we have to make sure that the last number is even. If it is an odd number, there is no way it will go in evenly.
So, for example, 4 will not go evenly into 1233 or 1235

So now we know that for 4 to divide evenly into any number the number has to end with an even number.

Back to the question...

4 into 1234

What you do is this:

Take the last number and add it to 2 times the second last number.

If 4 goes evenly into this number then you know that 4 will go evenly into the whole number.
So
4 + (2 X 3) = 10
4 goes into 10 two times with a remainder of 2 so it does not go in evenly.

Therefore 4 into 1234 does not go in completely.

Lets try 4 into 3436546
So, from our example, take the last number, 6 and add it to twice the penultimate number, 4

6 + (2 X 4) = 14
4 goes into 14 three times with two remainder.
So it doesn't go in evenly.

Let's try one more.

4 into 212334436

6 + (2 X 3) = 12
4 goes into 12 three times with 0 remainder.

Therefore 4 goes into 234436 evenly.

MATHS TRICKS-I

Hello friends, here i am going to describe some vedic maths tricks to solve your aptitude sums easily. I am going to divide it in some parts. So here's first one.

How do we multiply by eleven easily?

First we will try this by writing the answer backwards.

So, when always multiplying a large number by 11, the last number will always be the last number of the sum we are multiplying.

Let me explain.

176 is the number we are multiplying.

So the last number in out answer will be 6. If the sum was 143 the last number in our answer would be 3... get it?

So now what?

Easy, just add the next number to the last number, 7 + 6 = 13

So the next last number will be 3, carry the 1.

Add the 7 and 1 together, giving 8, then add the carried 1, 9 then write that number as our next part of the answer, 936

Then, the last number will be the first number in our sum, in this case 1.

So the answer is 1936.

Try 278

Last number is 8

7 + 8 = 15

Second last number is 5, carry the 1

7 + 2 = 9 add the carried 1, 10

Third last number is 0, carry the 1

Add the carried 1 to the first number in the sum, 2 giving:

2 + 1 = 3

So the answer is 3058!

Alternatively, you could always just add a zero to the number you are multiplying and then add the original number to it again...

156 X 11

try it this way:

Add a zero to the end

1560

Add 156 to this

1560 + 156 = 1716

Whatever method works best, stick to it!

Temperature Conversion

This is a shortcut to convert Fahrenheit to Celsius and vice versa.

The answer you will get will not be an exact one, but it will give you an idea of the temperature you are looking at.

Fahrenheit to Celsius:

Take 30 away from the Fahrenheit, then divide the answer by two. This is your answer in Celsius.

Example:

74 Fahrenheit - 30 = 44. Then divide by two, 22 Celsius.

so 74 Fahrenheit = 22 Celsius.

Celsius to Fahrenheit just do the reverse:

Double it, then add 30.

30 Celsius double it, is 60, then add 30 is 90

30 Celsius = 90 Fahrenheit

A POEM FOR INTERNET USERS

Hey friends, I just found an interesting poem from my cousin’s English book of 11th standard for daily internet users like me. What I do daily when I start up my internet is all listed here. Hope you would like it.

mail@god.com

-Mary Mathew

As I boot up my PC,

My modem dialing next to me,

I ask the lord, give me a sign…

Will I ever get on – line????

If you’d kindly let me through,

I’ll byte no more that I can chew

I’ll surf the waves amid the Net,

With my mouse, my loyal pet.

And through each window I will see,

The websites that are offered me.

Resisting any chat room’s lure,

I’ll download only what is pure.

If system-errors don’t prevail,

I’ll vow to read all my e-mail.

If you save me from a crash,

I’ll dump my games into trash.

Just please don’t take my CD-ROM!

Thank you lord, God Bless.Com

I Recently got my first ever SIM card of my life. I hadn't got the body for my SIM so was keeping myself relieved by just seeing the SIM. On observing the SIM, i just came out with a question "What does SIM really means?". As soon as the idea came, i searched on internet for the answer and the answer was simple Subscriber's Identity Module(SIM) and the name really has its meaning too. I am not describing the whole history of that but giving here a brief description of it.

A Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) on a removable SIM Card securely stores the service subscriber key used to identify a subscriber on mobile telephony devices (such as computers and mobile phones). The SIM card allows users to change phones by simply removing the SIM card from one mobile phone and inserting it into another mobile phone or broadband telephony device.

SIM cards are available in two standard sizes. The first is the size of a credit card(85.60 mm × 53.98 mm x 0.76 mm). The newer, more popular miniature-version has a width of 25 mm, a height of 15 mm, and a thickness of 0.76 mm. However most SIM cards are supplied as a full-sized card with the smaller card held in place by a few plastic links and can be easily broken off to be used in a phone that uses the smaller SIM.

Each SIM Card stores a unique International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI). The format of this number is as follows:

  • The first 3 digits represent the Mobile Country Code (MCC)
  • The next 2 digits represent the Mobile Network Code (MNC)
  • The next 10 digits represent the mobile station identification number.

Now a days SIMs are available for GSM and CDMA handsets. I think GSM is the best as u can remove the SIM from your mobile handsets and get it into your friend's one.

Hope this post will add up to your knowledge as of mine. You can share some more information with me if you have by posting some comments.

SURYANAMASKARA - my ideal exercise

After a two months exercise and suryanamskara, i felt that i should write a post on my blog on this topic. Suryanamaskara really makes my day beautiful.

Sun Worship/ Salutation has been an important aspect of daily routine of many people in India from the Vedic times. It is one of the six accepted and orthodox forms of worship. But unlike other well known sects of worship like of Siva, Vishnu, Sakti, Ganesa or Kartikeya, which are done in temples and homes usually with icons/idols, the Sun Worship is done in the open during the day time. “Worship the Sun for Health” exhorts the Vedas. (Aarogyam Bhaskaraath iccheth). Thousands of people can be seen saluting the sun at dawn at noon and at dusk, facing respectively the East, North and South, with or without mantras. Some worship the Sun with Mantras alone and some do namaskara or salutation alone without the mantras in several ways.

The physical--alone namaskara usually is made up of a start from standing position, prostrate with the arms stretched forward, then return to the starting position. This is known as danda samarpanam and is perhaps the most common method of physical form of Sun Salutation. The more elaborate method of Surya Namaskara usually involves twelve steps which include some asana like tadasana (mounting pose), uttanasana (forward bend), the dog poses. In the vinyasa karma as taught by my Guru, Sri Krishnamacharya, it involves 12 steps done in a sequence, starting from Tadasana and traversing through asanas like uttanasana, utkatasana, caturanga dandasana, dand samarpana, urdhwa and adhomukha swanasana and returning to tadasana via utkatasana and uttanasana. Further all the movements are done with synchronized breathing.

Here i am describing the 12 steps of suryanamaskara

STEP ONE:
Stand facing the direction of the sun with both feet touching. Bring the hands together, palm-to-palm, at the heart.

STEP TWO:Inhale and raise the arms upward. Slowly bend backward, stretching arms above the head.
STEP THREE:Exhale slowly bending forward, touching the earth with respect until the hands are in line with the feet, head touching knees.
STEP FOUR:Inhale and move the right leg back away from the body in a wide backward step. Keep the hands and feet firmly on the ground, with the left foot between the hands. Raise the head.
STEP FIVE:While exhaling, bring the left foot together with the right. Keep arms straight, raise the hips and align the head with the arms, forming an upward arch.
STEP SIX:Exhale and lower the body to the floor until the the feet, knees, hands, chest, and forehead are touching the ground.
STEP SEVEN:Inhale and slowly raise the head and bend backward as much as possible, bending the spine to the maximum (as in the naga-asana).
STEP EIGHT:While exhaling, bring the left foot together with the right. Keep arms straight, raise the hips and align the head with the arms, forming an upward arch.
STEP NINE:Inhale and move the right leg back away from the body in a wide backward step. Keep the hands and feet firmly on the ground, with the left foot between the hands. Raise the head.
STEP TEN:Exhale slowly bending forward, touching the earth with respect until the hands are in line with the feet, head touching knees.
STEP ELEVEN:Inhale and raise the arms upward. Slowly bend backward, stretching arms above the head.
STEP TWELVE:Stand facing the direction of the sun with both feet touching. Bring the hands together, palm-to-palm, at the heart.

"SLUMDOG MILLIONARE"-->A Must Watch

After a long patience , at last i watched this movie on my PC. It started 2 months ago..i was shown the trailer of this movie by my friend Akki, then i became mad after this movie and was searching all the sites for the downloads. I downloaded 3 times but all in vain..a fake torrent. Then xams came and i forgot abt that downloading. Recently i saw in news that movie won 5 awards and was soon to be released in India. My old memories got refreshed and i decided to download the movie. Luckily this time i got the movie and that too a nice print.

Talking about the movie, its a must watch. A slum boy of Mumbai wins 20 million Rs on a TV show "who wants to be a millionare". How has he done it? (a) cheated (b) lucky (c) genious (d) it was written. Well, for the answer u will have to watch the movie. In the movie they have revealed all the facts of Slum Mumbai u might be unaware of. A really short and low budget film ( as shooting has been done in Mumbai only) but superb story(from novel "Q & A" by VIKAS SWAROOP), music( by A.R.REHMAN), acting(specially kids) and direction(Danny Boyle). The movie has already won 4 awards in Golden Globe and is ready for an OSCAR also.(i wish they get one)

I m just waiting for its release in India and people's response. Till then u can reply by adding comments to my post. Enjoy the movie trailer Here
